After 15 years of dedicated service in the United States Air Force, transitioning to life as a Veteran and a single father in South Korea has been a journey filled with unique challenges and triumphs. Navigating post-military life while raising a young daughter, I’ve been fortunate to secure employment after leaving the service. My daughter’s homeschooling was a crucial part of our family dynamic, managed wonderfully by our nanny while I worked.
However, life brings change, and our beloved nanny will soon return to her family to support her sister’s growing family. While we are delighted for her, this transition means significant adjustments for the Holmes Family. My daughter, at the tender age of seven and in the 1st grade, requires a stable and enriching educational environment.
In response to these changes, I’ve decided to make a shift in my career. Moving away from on-site construction management, I am embracing overseeing my daughter’s homeschooling while exploring avenues to work from home. This personal experience and the need for a flexible, supportive educational system for families like mine inspired the creation of “Homeschool Hub Weekly.”
